Dr. Robertson and Dr. Cherry have carried on a tradition of excellence in eye care begun in 1917 by Dr. Archie Smither, the first optometrist in Suffolk. Dr. Archie Smither was succeeded by his son, Dr. F. Morrison Smither in 1958 and Dr. Jeffrey W. Robertson succeeded Dr. F. Morrison Smither in 1978 and continues to the present. Dr. Robertson & Dr. Cherry have incorporated the newest technologies in eye care, while keeping the old fashion values of listening to and caring for our patient’s needs. Dr. Cherry joined the practice in 2009.
